Real Ministry with VeeVeca- Who are you... in trouble?

Exhortation: Who are you, in trouble?

Scripture in view: We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [2 Cor 4:8]
Trouble times like a frisbee zooms right in on you. Without thinking, you fling it away. Out of site. Out of mind. Then from out of nowhere, it comes right back to you. This time it gets your attention in the worse way. And no matter how you war, wait, wail, or win, disturbances come without notice. And the tough skin you thought you had is thinning fast. What do you do, now?

Taken from MSNBC News the article reads, "He said he spent the 11 days buried in the ruins of a hotel grocery store praying, reciting psalms and sleeping. "I wasn't afraid because I knew they were searching and would come for me," he said.

Are you buried in troubles? If so, take a lesson from this man. While his situation appeared the same, he looked beyond the circumstance opened his mouth and prayed, recited psalms and got some sleep. That's pro-active faith that says, "I don't know when, I don't know how, but I know I am going to make it out of this."

Wherever you find yourself at today, you have two choices: Stay in the rubble or get out. If getting out is your choice, I dare you to open your mouth and pray. ‘Recite psalms' or whatever scriptures you know. Say it out loud to yourself until you feel confidence growing. Don't stop. Keep repeating it. Then go to sleep. No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken. Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

We're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever. [2 Corinthians 4:16-18 The Message]

Chasing God Poem by Veca

Chasing God by Veca

Lord, It's me and I am chasing after you

Wherever you go, it's me

following

tagging after

stepping in your shadow

My legs may be fat

My breathing all out of whack

I may even be a lil old

but whatever I have to do

I am chasing

running

even slow jogging- after you

I know you have to go the distance

to reach all of mankind

even those like me-others don't recognize

because we are not so haughty or even high minded

looking unchurched but somehow connected

sometimes in the most un-godly places

but I am chasing after you

running after you -- as fast as I can

following

tagging after

stepping in your shadow

to reach a world shattered by false religions

and stereotypical alibis of what is and what isn't You

Please slow down, Lord

I am chasing after your heart

your will

be done in earth as it is in heaven

even in this place that others think is so not you

I am chasing, running with all my strength~even all my might

to dwell in the secret place of the Most High

forsaking Me for thee

my flesh, desire, temptation

not my will but your will be done

in this place that seems too much for me to bare

I run-- I follow~tagging after

chasing where I end and begin--

I am in the shadow of the Almighty.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- Determined 2 Win

Exhortation: Determined 2 Win

I am determined/destined to win in 2010! Kinda lame having a theme but who cares. It's mine and I am doing just that working hard to win in everything I put my hands to do. I made myself a list of things I want to accomplish and I am going to accomplish it all. What God has for me, it is for me. I hope you are just as inspired. Let these few scriptures ignite your determination to be your best!

• And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [Psalms 1:3]

• No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. [Isaiah 54:17]

• For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end [Jeremiah 29:11]

• For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. [Proverbs 23:18]

• So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. [Isaiah 55:11]

• Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: [Isaiah 59:1]

• Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Phil 1:6]

• For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly [Psalm 84:11]
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken. Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-Hold Tight to what you Know

Hold tight to what you know

At church, on tv, a powerful word comes your way. Immediately, it catches your attention. Your issues are up front and very personal. What you hear springs you to movement. It feels so good. Your troubles seem so far away like dinosaurs. Although physically you may look the same, but inscribed on your chest feels like a big letter ‘S' for super man/woman has been etched into your skin. At that time, nothing feels impossible. So much so that you feel a wiry zealous and confident appeal combing over your demeanor. As if, a striking sense of ‘I wish you would' brute awareness rolls smoothly from your mouth. "This is it," as Michael Jackson would say.

Hold tight to the moment. Don't let it slip or return to you void. In Mark 4, Jesus gives a parable (a lesson) that believers should study regularly, after getting a dose of God and positive array of his fuel for life. Why? Because when the feelings are gone– it's gone gone. Then like the song, you'll be left singing, "Bring back that loving feeling."

[Mark 4: 13-23 The Message Translation] "Do
you see how this story works? All my stories work this way. "The farmer plants
the Word. Some people are like the seed that falls on the hardened soil of the
road. No sooner do they hear the Word than Satan snatches away what has been
planted in them. And some are like the seed that lands in the gravel. When they
first hear the Word, they respond with great enthusiasm. But there is such
shallow soil of character that when the emotions wear off and some difficulty
arrives, there is nothing to show for it. "The seed cast in the weeds represents
the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all
the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress
strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it. "But the seed planted in the
good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest
beyond their wildest dreams." Jesus went on: "Does anyone bring a lamp home and
put it under a washtub or beneath the bed? Don't you put it up on a table or on
the mantel? We're not keeping secrets, we're telling them; we're not hiding
things, we're bringing them out into the open. "Are you listening to this?
Really listening?"

Point 1: God has a positive fix for your drama-The Word. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [Hebrews 4:12]

Point 2: The devil is coming for what you have. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly [John 10:10]

Point 3: It's on me to stir up and remember what God says about me. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee [2 Timothy 2:1] Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; [2 Peter 1:13] This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance [2 Peter 3:1]

No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.

Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- Coping

Coping--
Change gone come... Joy comes in the morning. These words have been spoken to encourage many. So much so, they are often sang in the chords of spiritual songs. But what about you? Has your change come? Is it morning time in your life or is the clock still ticking waiting on a miracle.

"Lord, how do we hold on,"when we are stuck between the hard place and a big rock called broke and the mortgage is due and dreams need financing? What do we do.

In the challenge and pressure of today, there is one word to sum it up. Cope. How do you cope in a diverse world with economic challenges and plunging deficits? The word cope means : to maintain a contest or combat usually on even terms or with success : to deal with and attempt to overcome problems and difficulties.

This is not a scientific equation here: Problem + You = Perseverence, Struggle, and Work.

Here's an example:

Sally and John are married with 3 children, one in college, one in middle
school, and one in day-care. John loses his job and the family's savings are
depleted. What can they do?

  • Learn this quickly. There are no magic tricks in
the storm. In front of you is reality and truth. Between the two, you will find
    the aesthetics of coping.

Sally and John are mad, but in different ways.
Sally calls for help. John is getting more destructive listening to Sally on the
phone. She looks at him. His face is flushed and she knows only a miracle can
help. Frankly, she knew, miracles don't always knock on doors. So she hangs up
the phone and gathers her purse. "John," she says, "we can get food at the food
bank." John is still in a fury. "There's no gas in the car."

  • Stuck between the means of getting and having can make any human snap. Stop and breathe. Regroup and push yourself back up. Don't let the truth of your reality landslide you into giving up. Take authority (as best you can) and get up.

Sally moves forward in securing a ride and food for her family. The problem isn't totally resolved but at least (which is a pivotal point) she has removed some of the
strain. John remains bitter.

  • While you are in the storm, being thankful for the ‘at least aspects of your life will help turn your dark days into brighter
    opportunities.
Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-Love Overload

Exhortation: Love Over Load ?+ -=

He loves me? He loves me not? She loves me. She loves me not.

Let's be ojective. What is love? I mean, deep down in your heart. How do you define it? In the spiritual sense, is love what is stated in 1 Corinthian 13-3-8

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

As a Christian woman, I believe that we earnestly encompass those aspects of love in our love efforts. So much so that often we live in the degrees of being that physical dynamic of what loves is--

giving all not looking for a return, suffering long, not being jealous or boastful or prideful, being kind, seeking the good of others-- baring all things...... enduring all things.
(I hope you are getting my point here). So much so until sometimes we become a door mat to fools for the sake of love.

Child please, stop for a moment and let's look at this clearly. How can one person do so much and not ever look to see if they are getting anything back? Are you serious? Would you go to work and not expect a paycheck? What's Love got to do with it, then. Everything. Love is a two part equasion that equals both entities being full. If one aspect is lacking, love is not working.

Regroup and find yourself before you wreck yourself.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-Diamond in the Rough (Whitney Houston)

Diamond in the rough

If you cant love the diamond in the rough, why love it when it shines. Go Whitney!
I watched a portion of Whitney Houston on Good Morning Amercia, I am at work so I had to sneak a peak. I am so proud. Why? I never doubted her come back. I loved her through the good and bad times. She is phenomenal.

When the world turn its back on her, I turned my prayers for her! I love the lady and the gift that lives powerfully in her. When people made mean comments about her, I was offended. "Don’t talk about my Whitney," I said protecting her like family. In my heart, she was family. God made her family on a narrow road with a small bridge.

Years ago, I was coming back from lunch. It was a typical work day. I drove across a narrow road with a small bridge. And I heard it as clear as I saw the small road in front of me, "Pray for Whitney." I didn’t doubt it was God that I heard. Nor did I doubt the power of prayer.
I am a regular person not great to some but to someone else I am awesome. But God found me worthy of a task. I had heart, even when heartless could have been the human response. Resilently from the rubble of chaos, heart rises. And boy have I had to rise.

I believed in Whitney even when it didn’t look like CHANGE was coming. And that’s a powerful aspect there. How can you love somebody when you don’t see a change … around the corner, down the street, up the road, somewhere …. anywhere? That’s where God steps in covering a multitude of sins. Human, ah ha, can’t do that but God in all of his magesty can, and he does it in such a way that blinds you from the agony of what others may see, think, smell and feel. Have you ever loved a person that everybody else saw clean through, but you loved them anyway. Child, please… I been there too.

But today as I watched Whitney, I was proud of love. Love (God’s agape love) does not fail. It keeps on moving and working in the middle of the storm, at the end of the storm to victory and war all over again. Again I say,
"If you can’t love the diamond in the rough, why love it when it shines."
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

Fill in the Blank

If I had __________ I would be alright. How would you fill in the blanks? Dreams can be like reaching for the stars or fishing for sunken treasure . It’s tedious at best. Only the desperate and unwilling will get the stars and treasure. What can you do to fill in your blanks today?

Thank you Lord for this day. Thank you for your presence in my life. Help me to walk towards my dreams. My hands are blessed. I am your tool in today’s world. Allow me meet destiny in full sobriety talking the right talk and walking the right walk. Give me creativity of heaven and wisdom of Solomon. Let me be a daily bread to the Kingdom of God in all that I do, Amen.
