Real Ministry with VeeVeca- How Big is Your Forgiveness

How Big is Your Forgiveness?

True repentance is hating what you did so much that you wish it never happened. Running over your dog with your back tire would be the feeling I am fetching for. Poor Little FeFe is gone.

What if you could undo the accident? Remove the dog from the path of your tire and re-do the entire scene.

With that in mind, how big is your forgiveness today? Can you forgive the people that stepped on you to get ahead? Excuse the mean cashier with "a day late and a dollar short" attitude? Can you put yourself in their shoes, in their hot heated life. Where is your tolerance and leniency. Is it possible to forgive and forget?

Little FeFe represents issues that invade your life without notice. Disregarding or not seeing her is a costly mistake. Before you kill the opportunity in your day, take a moment to regard offense with a sober mind. You have one chance to make the right choice and one chance to construct a litter of mishaps that aren’t "microwave" fixes. Forgive more than you complain.

No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.
Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-After the Storm

After the Storm

There are many stories of "going through" the storms of life. We can all relate. Broke, busted, disgusted- we’ve all been there. But what about after the storm? Are you frantically jumping and shouting because you came through the squall of pressure?

The release/relief has come but what else can you do?
Reflect. Take a moment and look back at the real you, before the relief/blessing came? Answer a few self inventory questions...

  1. If there was a lesson to learn, did I learn it?

  2. Was God okay with me during the trial, test or challenge?

  3. Did I endure, pass, or fail?

  4. Did I give up?

  5. Did I try to make a way even when all seemed lost?

  6. Could hope be found in my heart, although I was in a hopeless state of being?

  7. Did I ask God to help my unbelief (because at points I did doubt), even when worse had come to worst?

  8. Did I still believe and wait on God-anyway?

  9. Was I angry and blamed others for where I was?

  10. Did I look at myself and see if I could have made better choices?

  11. Did I take ownership to any part of the trouble?

If you take the time to answers these questions honestly, you will learn a lot about yourself, your faith, and the challenge ultimately seeing your strengths and weakness.

No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and
circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed
or broken. Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward.

Flip Flops- beware

Can your flip-flops kill you?
Ah, the casual, comfortable flip-flop: A symbol of summertime, an emblem of relaxation - and a harbinger of death? That may be overstating it a little bit, but not by too terribly much, health experts say.http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/32453516?GT1=43001/from/ET
(That's not my foot there. But I love flip flops. Whoever came up with the idea... kudos to ya.)

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- Bummed! How do I smile?

Bummer! How can I smile now?

The walls are closing in and it looks like defeat is inching in closer than it did yesterday. What do you do when you are bummed out/ bum-rushed like a quarterback with the hottest ball in your hands. Everybody and everything is rushing to tackle you down. How do you hold on to the ball? How do you keep the winning ticket in your grip?

Hold on tighter. Scream out loud, "Feet don't fail me now" and move in torpedo faith. Remember faith isn't what is seen. It is what you feel deep inside gassed with God fuel for the journey.
The Lord never closes a door without opening a window. May confidence built your smile and a glaze of hope crack open the spontaneity of possibility. God is still good the end.

Psalm 24 A David Psalm (The message translation)

God claims Earth and everything in it, God claims World and all who live on it. He built it on Ocean foundations, laid it out on River girders. Who can climb Mount God? Who can scale the holy north-face? Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won't cheat, women who won't seduce. God is at their side; with God's help they make it. This, Jacob, is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers.

Wake up, you sleepyhead city! Wake up, you sleepyhead people!
King-Glory is ready to enter. Who is this King-Glory? God, armed and
battle-ready. Wake up, you sleepyhead city! Wake up, you sleepyhead people!
King-Glory is ready to enter. Who is this King-Glory? God-of-the-Angel-Armies: he is King-Glory.

No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- CHANGE in Broke Times

Change in Broke Times

Bad news is electric. It comes on fast and before you can tell it, it’s on! In every neighborhood, there are problems. Every family is battling some issue. Sisters are broke. Brothers are without jobs. Our very American economy is on vacation without the extra spending cash. So what’s up? What do you do when Everybody is broke and Everybody is having a difficult time. Even the "rescue/help" people in your inner circle are zipping up their pockets to pay their own bills.
How do you not drown in the sorrow of guilt, bills, and despair? Take a look around you and steady yourself. Borrow a line from Medea when the phone rings, "Praise the Lord. Halleuyer. Glory to God. We not in. Leave a message at the sanctified beep. If this is a bill collector I rebuke you in the name of Jesus."
Then laugh out loud.
Honey, I know it’s bad right now. But if you woke up this morning and can read this message, you did one important thing– You showed up for life. That’s right, you showed up for life. Your feet are still underneath you and God is still God. Relax a bit, try hard, and let the Father show out in your life. Grow up, this is not a marathon or a faith microwave fix. It’s hard now and those that have to endure will have to ‘dure the test, as some old folks would say. Roll up your sleeve and steady yourself, God is still working on you... and me.
This morning, I was walking from one side of the building to the other, God showed me the same tree I see everyday as I walk the same path. But there was something different today. This huge tree looked normal but when I passed it ... I saw it– SAW IT. The green leaves were moving sporadically but against the beauty, I saw sections of brown. And at that very moment, I heard it clearly, "I know when to change and how to change."
Although many are struggling, God is aware. Immediately in my mind, I heard Ecclesiastes 3:1– "To every thing there is a season." Now what do we do. "Be strong in the grace that is in God and Christ Jesus. Endure the hardness knowing that God is your ______ and ______. When you know what those blanks are, you will dance again, even in trouble.
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken. Stay encouraged in the heavy– and move Forward

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- Why believe His lie

Why do we believe his lie?

Hi I am VeeVeca Lavoira, Author and Evangelist. But mostly– I am a lot of woman. Today, I have a question. What makes us believe his lie? Do we feel sorry for the mishaps of a man’s misfortune so much so that we let little things slide. Like him not showing up on time? Not paying for the meal? Or, he forgot that he was supposed to do a thing. Seemingly excusing bad behavior for the "I meant to" or the "If I could I would" lines. What’s up with that?

Do we coddle the man to keep him? Look over the obvious and figure, one day (whenever that is) he’ll get it right (or we die hoping change comes). Or do we let him go, to break him, make him, or be made ourselves? Why do women feel responsible her man’s well-being? I’m just saying, He that finds a wife finds a good thing? I didn’t write the story, I’m just sharing the... What Is Written.

As a woman, are we that hard up for a man that we accept less effort just to have a bag of bones to say "I gotta my man"? Is it that good to have nothing... that you have to work hard to f a t t e n up just to keep him? Is it a sense of duty to save him or you?

In this hip hop nation, I heard it just like you’ve heard it. "I’m down for my man" Or better yet, "Yeah, I am a ride or die chick". Young ladies say it everyday as if they are positioned to "man up". But if you are manning up, what is he doing?

If you want more, be and expect more.

No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.

Exercise-Love it or Hate it?

BBOF-Building Blocks of Fitness a yahoo group of fitness folks trying (hard as it is) to get right and stay right in health, exercise & nutrition.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

What are your thoughts about exercise? Do you love it or hate it?

VeeVeca's Thoughts on Exercise.... Honestly, I wish I had the body that didn't require extensive exercise or training. If only, I had the genes or hormones of the Bod Gods! Flat in all the right places and perkey in all the other great areas. What a life that would be to never ever... ever have to worry about a dip, a roll, a bulge, or the nemesis-- the scale!

But for the bulge in my middle and the extra servings here and there, I have some challenges before me. But at least....I am blessed to have the mobility to exercise. Because quite honestly it really could be far worse. So I drag myself (literally drag) onto my elllipitical a few times each week, sometimes only for a few minutes at a time and at other times I go in for a full 20 minute program. Aurah!!!

Either way, life is about being healthy and that comes one day-one exercise moment at a time. And never forget-- eating right is the right thing to do. Spluringing should be a limited treat. To splurge once a week or once a month, should be a happy time. However, be careful that you are not living in the splurge of bad eating and choosing to have limited times of good healthy eating.
