Lord, It's me and I am chasing after you
Wherever you go, it's me
following
tagging after
stepping in your shadow
My legs may be fat
My breathing all out of whack
I may even be a lil old
but whatever I have to do
I am chasing
running
even slow jogging- after you
I know you have to go the distance
to reach all of mankind
even those like me-others don't recognize
because we are not so haughty or even high minded
looking unchurched but somehow connected
sometimes in the most un-godly places
but I am chasing after you
running after you -- as fast as I can
following
tagging after
stepping in your shadow
to reach a world shattered by false religions
and stereotypical alibis of what is and what isn't You
Please slow down, Lord
I am chasing after your heart
your will
be done in earth as it is in heaven
even in this place that others think is so not you
I am chasing, running with all my strength~even all my might
to dwell in the secret place of the Most High
forsaking Me for thee
my flesh, desire, temptation
not my will but your will be done
in this place that seems too much for me to bare
I run-- I follow~tagging after
chasing where I end and begin--
I am in the shadow of the Almighty.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca- The God in Me
Exhortation: The God in MeScripture in View: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (2 Corinthians 4:7)
In the spirit of Kwanzaa, today is day five-Nia (NEE-yah) Purpose encourages us to look within ourselves and to set personal goals that are beneficial to the community.
So with that in mind, you have this hidden treasure [God] on the inside of you, what are you going to do with your life? Nothing is impossible. Take a moment and make yourself a list or write yourself a letter listing personal goals that you want to achieve. Allow God to be your inspiration and guide. Put them out in plain sight and review them daily. Work hard and again I say– Nothing is too hard for the God in you.The Message Translation 2 Corinthians 4:5-15
5-6 Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we're proclaiming Jesus Christ,
the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It
started when God said, "Light up the darkness!" and our lives filled up with
light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and
beautiful.7-12 If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We
carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary
lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us.
As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're
not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're
not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to
do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been
thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial
and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he
lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake, which makes Jesus' life
all the more evident in us. While we're going through the worst, you're getting
in on the best!13-15 We're not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like
the psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we believe.
And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as
certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and
to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more
praise!16-18 So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it
often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is
making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times
are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration
prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now
are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last
forever.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-Where's your confidence, Soldier

"Endure hardness, as a good soildier of Jesus Christ." (2 Timothy 2:3)
Times of hardness are inevitable. Stop playing. Life happens fast. Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't. When living is easy, it's hardly a fuss from your lips. Money isn’t funny. All is well. But everyday isn’t so sunny.
Just when the tables turn, living shows up with chaos and drama. In a fret, the attack is closer than the hair in our nose. It stops all passage including the air flow. We can’t breathe. Where’s the victory now? What about the rescue scriptures?
Child of God, did you forget what you are? You are a soldier in the army of God. You are as the dictionary describes, (1) one engaged in military service and especially in the army b : an enlisted man or woman c : a skilled warrior (2): a militant leader, follower, or worker.War is hard, you think! Um... it’s war. Stop playing. It is suppose to be hard. Endure the hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Meaning, put on the whole weaponry of God to battle against the attack. Don’t shriek or lament in combat. It’s time to fight. Man/Woman/boy or girl, you are the called, the equipped, ordained and anointed. You are the vessel of honor for God's victory.
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-Diamond in the Rough (Whitney Houston)

If you cant love the diamond in the rough, why love it when it shines. Go Whitney!
I am a regular person not great to some but to someone else I am awesome. But God found me worthy of a task. I had heart, even when heartless could have been the human response. Resilently from the rubble of chaos, heart rises. And boy have I had to rise.
"If you can’t love the diamond in the rough, why love it when it shines."

Real Ministry with VeeVeca-I am not ALONE

I grabbed the bag of cat foot. Fat Mama strolled right alone to the cadence of my steps. I poured the bits into her silver bowl. She looked at it and turned her eyes at me signifying that my job was done.
As I walked away, I peered over my shoulder. Fat Mama wasn’t eating. She was in fact looking and watching her surroundings very carefully, as if on guard duty. Out from underneath the rubble, came four or five mini-Fat mama’s. The kittens were so small, cute, and cuddly. They ran to the bowl, jumping frantically over the other.
Fat Mama watched her babies eat. Then she made her way to the bowl.
I stood back in awe allowing the moment to sink deep into my heart and mind. God, creator of everything, showed up in the nick of time (I wasn’t supposed to be there) to show a bigger pictures through an innocent almost unseen phenomenon!

Real Ministry with VeeVeca

This morning as I was driving in to work. Familar words popped in my head from a prophet friend of mine, "What can you do for free but get paid for it?"
I love writing and ministry. I felt born to do both. Over the years, I have been connecting the dots to what I want... to what I had. Before the internet days, I was mailing a quarterly encouragement newsletter called, Arise and Shine. It was about reaching out to real people with real problems helping to see a real God as the daily answers to life. As technology advanced, I started sending exhortations (encouragement expressions) to the group that has grown over a few hundred people. Eventually, I began writing novels. The first one .... well I had to re-work it and learn about the book business.
Face it-Nothing is a quick advance. But if you work what you have and don't give up, the fruit of your labor will be rewarded.
What are your hobbies? What can you do on the side for free and people will pay you money to do it? Can you...
- Sing, Dance, Draw/Paint? Make up a flyer and advertise your skill.
- Are you good at talking to people? Register as a Motivational Speaker and seek out groups that need what you have to speak about.
- Do you like to have fun? Make it a business helping others to find fun in the city where you live.
- Use your skill-set to make life what you would like it to be. Life really is what you make it!

It's my Life
Motivating Scriptures: "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." [Colossians 3:2,3]
Are you caught between your life and the life others want you to live?
How many lives do you think you have? Do you have 9 lives as a (folk lore) cat does? A life that can be discarded when things go wrong and a new one zapped into reality at will?
If this were true, it would be no big deal to let other people run your life and there life too. Why not let others run 8 of those lives and you run the last one for yourself. Go ahead. Fork over those lives to those who feel they can run it better than you. Smile big and hand it over to them saying, "Have fun with it, okay?" Nine times out of ten, they will not do much better. Of course one person may show you up, but who cares. They may be smarter, older and even more experienced. But the fact is simple– there is only one life to live!
Each person is born with the gift of life. It's one life, one chance, and one shot. There is not a collect $100 and swing around the board game of life again. It's a one shot journey. Sometimes you win the most and sometimes it's errrh– too many losses to contend with. But the fact is, this is life. The one shot living that can't be erased or vacuumed away.
- Make room for mistakes
- Open up to face reality
- Be the bigger person to say "I'm sorry. I don't know it all."
- Find a reason to smile every single day.
- Sneak in some chocolate
- Then get some growing room-- Growth to be a better you.
Ultimately, we must remember– "I am a work in progress. God is not finished with me yet."
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.

Real Ministry with VeeVeca
Are you looking in the right spot?Scripture in View: [Hebrews 12:1-3]
What are you looking at? The problem. The drama. What is and what isn’t. Are you constantly looking through the woulda/shoulda glasses and coming up short on the reward of your life’s reality. If _________ was ___________ I would be____________. If this is where you are looking, you are clearly looking in the wrong place.
- Point 1: Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses– Everybody’s got drama. You are not the only one. Stop being the penny with the hole in it.
- Point 2: let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us– Put the smack down on garbage and sin in your own life. If you are violating your temple (your body), detox your lifestyle. Check your closest before somebody brings you out of the closet. You yourself already know what your problem is. If you are lying, stop lying. If you are a messy, stop being messy. If you are promiscuous (whoring), stop giving up your goods. Nobody has to out you but you! Just get out of it and...
- Point 3: and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,– You are somebody. God never created a mistake. Purpose brought you, and you should run with patience (the margin to of a stride) to live to be your best self. It’s like a marathon, at some points you can run fast to build up your lead. But at other times, the pace is slower. Not because you can’t run, but moreso the slow down is necessary because the distance is further and you must slow down to gain the momentum to finish the race. But how do you get there?
- Point 4: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; The only way to cross the finish line is the same way into and out of the world, looking to Jesus. What does that mean? Jesus who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
- Point 5: In whatever you go through, whatever surfaces, hurdles to leap, pains to endure– look to Lord for the strength, power, refuge, and help to get through it. Simply pray. "Lord I am in ___ and I don’t know what to do. Please help me. You are my strength and hope. Amen."
No matter the climb or struggle within, trust God with every heavy situation and circumstance. He is still the God of catching cares. His glove is never frayed or broken.
